Derya Ocean is Master of Art Theory and Criticism (Sabancı University, Istanbul, Türkiye) researcher of contemporary art and hyperminimalism in modern Turkish street art. An Istanbul-based artist working at the intersection of photojournalism and surrealism. Her artistic practice is a meticulous investigation of the interconnection between urban environment, reincarnation myths, and gender stereotypes in Eastern Europe.
